On Saturday, August 29, the Maui Police Department and Maui Fire Department will face off at Iron Maehara Stadium for the Battle of the Badges Softball Showdown, benefiting Pacific Cancer Foundation and Maui County families facing cancer.
Bring your family, pick your team, and help us fill the stands for a fun night of friendly Police vs. Fire competition.
Gates open at 5:00 PM and the first pitch is at 6:00 PM. Admission is just $5, with food and refreshments, Battle of the Badges merchandise, and family-friendly fun.
This year's game kicks off the 11th year of Pacific Cancer Foundation's partnership with Maui's first responders. What many in our community have known for the past decade as the Go Pink Campaign is growing in 2026 into Battle of the Badges, a two-month campaign bringing MPD, MFD, and the Maui community together in support of local families facing cancer.
The friendly rivalry will continue throughout September and October as Team Police and Team Fire compete to raise funds for Pacific Cancer Foundation's free programs and services, including patient navigation, transportation and lodging assistance, nutritional support, financial assistance, support groups, educational programs, and survivorship services.
Police and Fire may be competing for bragging rights, but they're united behind one important cause.
