Meet Your Instructor

Kurt Miyajima

Kurt Miyajima is a certified Taiji, Qi Gong and Daoist Longevity Breathing instructor who has been teaching on Maui since the 1990s.

His approach focuses on gentle, practical movement that helps participants develop greater awareness, ease and confidence in their bodies. Through Taiji and Qi Gong, Kurt encourages students to listen to their bodies, release unnecessary tension and work with themselves rather than against themselves.

Kurt hopes the practices explored in class become useful tools participants can carry into everyday life, helping them move more freely, breathe more comfortably, feel more grounded and reconnect with their own sense of vitality and well-being.

Most of all, he hopes the class becomes a place where participants can practice together, support one another and enjoy being part of a caring community.
