A Voyage Remembered, A Call Forward
This film was commissioned by the Kimokeo Foundation and thoughtfully created by Amia Voluntad of Written Truth Productions.
We are honored to share a newly released film capturing the heart of Paddle for Life.
Created by Uncle Kimokeo and videographer Amia Voluntad, this film weaves together the voices, reflections, and spirit of our paddling ʻohana. Through their words, we are reminded that Paddle for Life is more than a voyage across the channel. It is a collective act of care, remembrance, and commitment to those facing cancer across Maui County.
Each year, paddlers come together to cross the channel in solidarity with cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and loved ones. The stories shared in this film reflect why this voyage continues to matter, and why our community continues to show up, year after year.
As we reflect on this past voyage, we are also looking ahead.
Save the Date:
17th Annual Paddle for Life
October 3–4, 2026
Planning is already underway, and we are beginning conversations with community partners and sponsors who would like to be part of this meaningful event. Paddle for Life is made possible through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations who believe in uplifting our cancer ʻohana and ensuring Pacific Cancer Foundation can continue providing personalized care, guidance, and support to cancer patients and families across Maui County.
If you or your organization are interested in becoming a 2026 Paddle for Life sponsor, we would love to connect. Sponsorship support helps fund vital programs and services for cancer patients and families on Maui, Lāna‘i, and Moloka‘i.
