Neuropathy Support Class
If you are experiencing numbness, tingling, burning, or discomfort in your hands or feet, you are not alone. Neuropathy is a common side effect during and after cancer treatment, and it can make everyday tasks feel more challenging.
Pacific Cancer Foundation offers a Neuropathy Support Class created especially for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers in Maui County. These sessions provide a gentle way to care for your body, reconnect with movement, and find greater comfort and ease.
What to Expect
This class is guided by Kurt Miyajima, Pacific Cancer Foundation’s Qigong instructor. Sessions draw from the mindful practices of Taiji and Qigong, which use slow, intentional movements to support circulation, flexibility, and balance.
Movements are simple, accessible, and adaptable to your comfort level. No prior experience is needed. Participants are always encouraged to move at their own pace.
Many people find that gentle movement practices like these can help improve dexterity, support circulation in the hands and feet, and create a greater sense of ease in the body.
