Cancer: Thriving & Surviving Spring Session Underway

Facilitators, Dexter “Janet” Borrowman and Dr. Kim-Thu Pham, welcome participants to our Spring 2026 Session

Pacific Cancer Foundation’s Spring 2026 Cancer: Thriving & Surviving workshop is now underway at the Cameron Center in Wailuku.

This six-week series brings together individuals living with cancer, survivors, and caregivers to explore practical tools for navigating the everyday challenges that can come with diagnosis and treatment. Topics include fatigue, sleep, stress, communication with providers, and the emotional shifts that often accompany cancer.

Developed at Stanford University and offered nationwide, the program is designed to be interactive and skill-based. Participants are invited to reflect, share if they wish, and practice new strategies in a supportive, respectful environment.

We are grateful to facilitators Dexter “Janet” Borrowman of the Kaiser Permanente National Cancer Team and Dr. Kim-Thu Pham, Internal Medicine Physician and medical school leader, for guiding this spring session with compassion and experience.

Registration for the Spring workshop is now closed. Pacific Cancer Foundation plans to host another Cancer: Thriving & Surviving series this summer. Dates will be announced soon.

If you are interested in participating in a future session, or would like to learn more about whether this workshop might be a good fit, please contact our care team at care@pacificcancerfoundation.org or call 808-242-7661.
