1. What are Classes for Confidence?
Classes for Confidence are free, Beauty Classes offered in Sephora stores throughout the US. They are part of Sephora Stands Social Impact initiative which uses Sephora’s strengths for even greater good. Through these hands - on 90 minute classes, we teach clients how to create a natural makeup look so they feel beautiful and confident.
These classes launched in 2016 and focused on supporting women re-entering the work force. By partnering with nonprofits and community groups we reached and helped build self-esteem in women who were transitioning back to work after job loss, divorce, homelessness, domestic violence, incarceration and military service.
2. What are the Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer classes?
These Classes for Confidence are specifically created for people dealing with cancer. They include soothing skincare routines and quick fix makeup tricks that help restore glow, appearance of brows and lashes that may be impacted by radiation and chemotherapy treatments. They are open to individuals and groups.
3. Who can attend Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer classes?
The Brave Beauty curriculum is designed for individuals undergoing cancer treatment however, friends, family & caregivers are welcome to join . We recommend participants be well enough to attend a public class. If you have recently had surgery or a treatment that lowers your immunity, we recommend waiting until you are fully recovered before joining a class to limit any risk of infection. Should you have questions about wellbeing and class attendance, please consult your doctor.
4. What type of products are you using in the class and are they safe?
All skincare and color products used in the class are designed for sensitive skin. They do not include any acids or ingredients that stimulate cell growth. Please consult with your doctor should you have any questions about specific ingredients to avoid as we are not medical experts. (NOTE: In the Brave Beauty LG, we do reference websites recommended by the American Cancer Association and Young Survivor Coalition that clients can refer to if they have questions.)
