Kids Support Group

  • Cameron Center 95 Mahalani Street Wailuku, HI, 96793 United States (map)

When a patient is diagnosed with cancer, the whole family is affected. Adults and children usually feel anxious and scared. Explaining cancer treatment to children is also difficult. Children may act out or may become the caregiver. The new program is designed for children whose parents or loved ones are in active treatment or have just completed treatment. We will help children deal with major changes in their lives and share information that can help a child who cares about someone with cancer.

The group will be lead by Linda Tesar-Amimoto, MFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. The group meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00pm at the Cameron Center. For more information, call the PCF Office at (808) 242-7661. You are not alone with us!
